All our adventure experiences are in the experienced hands of professional guides from MHE Adventure Holidays - the pioneers of commercial rafting in India. Children below 14 are not allowed on the river. Your safety is our top priority, so go ahead, dive in…for an experience of a lifetime!
Professional trekking guides will plan a day trip for you and accompany you on the trek. Packed lunch, cool drinks to beat the heat, and hopefully a fresh water spring at the end of it all! Just inform the reception if you feel like taking a hike - literally!
Just behind Bull's Retreat is an uphill path that leads to a view point from where you can get a breathtaking view of the Ganga. It's a continuous climb up (and logically therefore, a continuous climb down when you return) so we don't recommend it for our senior guests. We did say it would take your breath away!
One entire wall of Bull's Retreat is an artificial climbing wall. Kids especially love this - several of the climbing holds are meant for their little hands. Or if you feel like going for the real thing, there are several rock climbing locations nearby. Either way, leave it to the professionals to ensure you are safe, and have a good time.
Your ride here is the Firefox Target 21 speed mountain bike with thick tyres more comfortable for shock absorption. There are some amazing off-road mountain trails to tackle near Bull's Retreat itself, so if biking is your thing, just let us know and we will organize it for you.
A gentle evening walk through our forest trail will take you to a beach, where you can sit, sip a chai, and watch the sun set. Or if you’re looking for something more action-focused, we can take a 10-min drive to the Himalayan Beach for some safe swimming (with life-jackets please) and kayaking.
If jumping from a height of 83 meters with rubber cords tied to your ankles gives you a high, take the dive we say! (By the way, just so you have some perspective, the highest point of the Qutab Minar is 72.5 meters!). You can book this activity directly with Bull’s Retreat.
The Ganga Zipline, a Flying Fox that flies you over the Ganga river – exhilarating! You can book this activity directly with Bull’s Retreat.
A 1 Hr: 20 Min drive from Bull’s Retreat and home to elephants, tigers, panthers spotted deer, hundreds of bird species and other mammals.
Teachers from the ashram in Rishikesh come over every morning for a Yoga session. The perfect way to start your day!
Rejuvenate yourself with an Ayurvedic massage from expert masseurs that we will drive up from Rishikesh at your convenience. A special service to get those muscles working, so you can hit the bigger rapids the next day!
The evening Ganga Aarti at Rishikesh is special and if you've never witnessed it, we urge you to take an evening out to visit this spectacular ceremony. Let us know when you'd like to go, and we will make the arrangements to drive you there and back in time for a bonfire and some sumptuous snacks.
